Inspect plate and lifting gear
– Check road plate for cracks, bends, or sharp edges.
– Inspect chain slings, shackles, or clamps for wear and valid certification. -
Attach correct lifting accessories
– Use appropriate chain slings or plate clamps.
– Connect to lifting holes or welded lugs.
– Secure unused chain legs back to master ring. -
Test lift for alignment
– Lift slightly to ensure load is level and stable.
– Reposition slings if plate tilts or rotates. -
Lift and guide into position
– Use tag lines to control plate movement.
– Keep all personnel clear of the load and landing zone. -
Install safely and release
– Lower plate slowly onto firm, level ground.
– Ensure it is fully seated with no rocking.
– Release slings only when load is secure.
