How to Safely Lift a Mini Excavator
-
Always lift from certified lifting points on the blade and track frame – never use the boom or cab.
-
Confirm the machine’s weight and ensure lifting gear exceeds it (e.g., 5t excavator → 6.7t WLL chains).
-
Use 4-leg chains and taglines on both sides to control movement.
-
Keep the load level and lift slowly – avoid sudden swings.
-
Ensure the area is clear and the lift is guided by a competent slinger/signaller.
-
Only lift when supervised by an Appointed Person and a Crane Supervisor.
-
Video guide above shows the correct method in action.
